Meet Christopher Stokes. Entrepreneur, photographer, graphic designer, actor, dancer... the list goes on.

Christopher's love for cameras began in 1997 when he was discovered by the Fincannons, at age four, with his mother. They were touring Screen Gem Studios campus in Wilmington, NC when he was offered his first acting role in 'Ruby Bridges' as Carl Bridges, Ruby Bridges' brother. After this film wrapped, he was cast in 'Freedom Song' as Owen Walker, Danny Glover and Loretta Devine's son. In 2000, Christopher also danced competitively. While dancing, he continued to capture memories in front of cameras, this time with friends. He parted ways with his dancing and acting careers after graduating from high school.

 

Christopher took on studying psychology and business, and while doing so discovered that working in customer service was a major opportunity to create memorable, long-lasting relationships and learning from and studying the psychology of people from all walks of life. Throughout his time working, he has networked all while selling cars, leasing properties and managing grocery stores, department stores and wireless communication companies.

In January 2017, Christopher transitioned from performing in front of the camera to standing behind it. The idea of capturing memories of his interactions and daily life came to him randomly while working at T-Mobile. He began taking photos of friends, clients and his surroundings using his iPhone 8. One day he sat down at his computer, uploaded hundreds of pictures and experimented with the settings of an app he'd found online, Adobe Lightroom. After realizing how beautiful it was to relive memories while editing pictures, he decided photography was something he wanted to do professionally. He bought his first camera the next day and came up with Shot By Stokes Media a year later in 2018.
